The spare was a small tire, and Russ said over the phone that there was no way we could come home 80 miles on that tire. Soooo.... my kind brother-in-law came and traded cars with us and took mine to fix the problem while we went to the meeting. He took my debit card and went to Wal-mart and bought four new tires (which we had been trying to find the time to do anyway) and had them put on and balanced. In the meantime, we picked up my sister and niece to head to the Conference Center.
When we got downtown Salt Lake, it was just minutes from the starting time of the meeting. Some of us got out and started in to get our seats, through the checkpoints and the purse searches. We were hurrying! There were only a few seats left in our section. The two who went to park the car (my sister-in-law, Karen, and my sister, Lisa) came in and ended up in the last seats in the section, which were on the opposite end of the same row the rest of us were on. They were talking to the people near them about how we were down on the other end, and a lady suggested the whole row shift down so they could come to the other end and sit by us! I could tell some of them weren't thrilled, but they all did it anyway, the entire row. Karen and Lisa literally sat down right before the meeting started.
It was a sheer miracle that we made it and that we got seats in that front center section. It was a great meeting! Here's the video of my arrangement:
